How We Do ItQ.E.D. Transcription Service, Inc. offers customers a variety of methods for capturing dictation and each can be customized to suit your needs. We offer both the equipment and ability for virtually any situation.
Call in directly to Q.E.D. and perform your dictation on our system. With our
digital dictation system, you can dictate from the privacy of your own
home or office. The system allows 24/7 accesses to a toll-free number and can be used from any phone line. You may call
in to start a new dictation or pull up pending work for editing and
review. The touch-tone system is designed for quick, hassle-free access and ease
of use.
Handheld Digital Voice Recorders may also be used for transmitting dictation. Files are backed up on your PC and exported to us at your convenience. The
Olympus recorder,
for example, is the most advanced professional digital recorder on the market. Its slide-switch operation makes for ease of use, 32MB card gives you over 11 hours of audio recording, and enhanced DSS
Player Pro Dictation software offers outstanding performance. A
dual-function cradle makes for quick recharges and provides easy
uploading/downloading of dictation.
Q.E.D. provides secure connectivity solutions, which let us connect with your system and retrieves files via remote download or upload or any other customized option to fit your needs including HL7 data transfer. All connections are completely encrypted, and privacy is guaranteed. Q.E.D. can also provide you with a "Client IP Console" that allows your Medical Records staff to connect directly to our system and run queries for report look-ups and a host of other features.
Redundant infrastructure is our way of providing a secure, always-on network
availability to you. Q.E.D. goes the distance to give you dependable service you can count on. We have invested in two locations,
which are in different cities but are connected with direct fiber-optic cable.
Each facility is serviced by separate electrical grids and different telephone providers.
In addition, we have automated uninterruptible power source backup
systems as well as industrial generator power which can run indefinitely in cases of
any power disruption. Q.E.D. employs the latest technology with redundant
Distributed File System server technology, redundant backup servers as
well as the latest in SQL mirroring technology at both locations. Q.E.D.'s extra investment in technology certifies that fail-over is
seamless and no data is ever lost. The result is a redundant infrastructure that will never fail and
will provide continuous service for you.
In
addition to our redundant backup solution, our central offices and properties are set up with 24/7 video surveillance and on-duty personnel.
Every entrance to and from our offices is electronically locked and
monitored. Our networks are observed daily, and traffic is closely
monitored. All connections are engaged over our highly secure virtual private network. Several VPN and file transfer methods are available. IT staff is on call
24 hours a day for any technical emergency that should arise.
