The Contingency Plan is a backup transcription service for hospitals and clinics with in-house transcription departments. It allows for unplanned events that occur such as heavy workflow, vacations, sickness, or inclement weather prohibiting transcriptionists from performing according to their usual work schedule.

The idea is to establish the systems and procedures that  we will  need to use in order to work together, before an urgent need occurs.

That means setting up the communications methods we will use to get dictation and information from you and methods to be used to send completed work back to you.  It means we will set up templates and appropriate software to match the formats and typestyles you use so that our reports look very much like your very own.

Of course it makes sense to test the readiness of these plans.  It is a necessity to ensure that all applicable systems are up to standard and working so that when our service is needed in an urgent atmosphere, the downtime for your organization is minimal.  All that is required is for you to send us a small amount of work to do on a regular basis.

QED will bill you a regular nominal fee, which will be applied toward the cost of the work you send us.  If the volume of work you send us exceeds this minimal fee we will charge you based on pricing that we have agreed to in advance.

QED Transcription Service agrees to provide our best efforts policy regarding quality of the reports, and meeting the required turnaround time specification for each type of dictation we are asked to transcribe.
